Furniture and Furs from Suceava area most exported

In February, exportation represented 22, 6 percent of the industrial production of Suceava county. According to the latest data of the County Department for Statistics, this means that nearly a quarter of the Suceava county production goes to export, the deliveries being wholly supported by the processing industry. In comparison with February last year, Suceava exports grew with 21,1 percent, seven branches of the local industry representing 93,8 percent of the total delivered. These branches are: furniture; clothing items; fur processing and dyeing; wooden products manufacturing; cork and twig knitting; textiles; leather finishing and tanning; travel items manufacturing and morocco –leather tanning; harnesses and shoes and machines and equipments. Lohn manufacturing, namely with the client’s material, registered in February 2008, compared to January a decrease of 7,2 percent. Of the new export orders of February, 55,3 percent are for the Euro zone.
